Features and Benefits - This water leveling tool features a flexible tape/cable that allows for easy winding and unwinding, even in cold temperatures. With a waterproof design, it ensures durability in various environments. The tool includes permanent depth markings with extra tubing protection for accurate measurements. A strong 80lb base magnet allows it to be securely placed at any angle on the metal sections of boreholes, wells, or standpipes. The device is equipped with three bright LED signals that can be viewed from any angle, even in bright sunlight, up to 40 ft away. Powered by (2) 9-volt batteries, this water leveling tool provides maximum usage between battery changes. Its lightweight, pocket-sized, and portable design, combined with an ergonomic structure, ensures ease of use. The probe can be quickly and easily attached to the magnetic base when not in use, or it can hang from the handle prior to use. The magnetic base also allows for fastened placement on any metal surface, ensuring quick access. An On/Off switch helps conserve battery life, while the power drill nut driver attachment speeds up the winding and unwinding process of the cable, reducing fatigue. Operation of this water leveling tool is straightforward; it can be attached to any well, borehole, standpipe, etc., with a metal surface at any angle. Each unit consists of a metal probe fitted to a flexible cable wire tape wound on a hand-held reel with an ergonomic handle. The cable connects to an electronic circuit featuring a 3 LED signal indicator and is powered by (2) 9-volt batteries with an On/Off switch. The sensor probe has an insulated gap that serves as a switch, completing the circuit when it makes contact with water. The cable consists of a non-stretch flexible wire/tape with copper conductors marked in 4” intervals or 10cm intervals, depending on the model. For more accurate measurements, the ruler on the unit can be utilized, or the provided metal ruler can be used. The probe is lowered down the borehole, standpipe, well, etc. Caution is advised to keep the cable wire away from any sharp edges. You can lower the probe by hand or with the drill attachment. When the probe contacts water, the 3 LED indicators illuminate. A reading can then be recorded from the measuring cable at the port level to determine the depth. Remember to turn off the unit after use to conserve battery life. To measure depth accurately to the nearest ½”, use the cap’s ½” notched lines by aligning the wire along the rubber sides and counting the notches. For example, 2 notches equal 1” and 6 notches equal 3”. The distance between LED indicators along the rubber sides is 4” (8 notches). Utilize the ruler markings on the magnetic base or the ruler provided for more accuracy once the closest footage distance is noted. Place the wire along the ruler, aligning the closest ft marker of the water depth to the zero point of the ruler, then add the distances from there. Winding the cable of the water leveling tool can be done manually by hand or with a drill. Specifications include a power supply of 2 x 9 Volt Batteries (included), a measuring cable/wire made of flex silicone with copper, an On/Off button, visual indicators via 3 LEDs, and a magnetic base with an 80 lb holding capacity. It's rated for outdoor use and is waterproof, with a battery life of over 1000 readings and 20 hours of LED illumination. The operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 55°C (-40°F to 130°F), with a response time of less than 100 milliseconds. Accessories include a carry bag, drill attachment (nut driver), wig-nut (handle replacement for drill use), and ball handle (available only on 60M, 80M, 200ft & 250ft units). Markings are made every 4” for feet and 10cm for meters, with included rulers for additional accuracy. The probe diameter is approximately 20mm, with varying weights and sizes for different lengths of the water leveling tool.
